What infrastructure + participation can achieve.
Our impact is a function of two things: how many RVMs we deploy and how many people use them. Adjust the sliders below to explore how different levels of community participation translate into ecological outcomes over our 5-year growth plan.
Model the impact.
Every additional user and every new RVM compounds the effect. Use the sliders to see how your community's participation shapes the outcome.
Year-by-year projection
Based on 75 items/user/month and 100 active users per RVM
* Projections are estimates based on assumed participation rates and average item weights (~30g/item). An “active user” is defined as someone who deposits recyclable items at least once per month. Actual results will vary based on location, community engagement, and seasonal factors. CO₂ estimates use an average of 2.5 tonnes CO₂ avoided per tonne of mixed recyclables diverted from landfill.
Building toward a nationwide impact.
Basoro's model is designed to scale — from a single neighborhood pilot to a network of hundreds of RVMs across multiple cities. As infrastructure grows, so does the data, the partner network, and the ecological benefit. Every community that joins the loop makes the entire system stronger.
Community-first deployment
RVM locations are chosen based on community survey data, transit access, and neighborhood need — not commercial convenience.
Compounding network effects
More users attract more reward partners. More partners attract more users. Each new RVM strengthens the entire ecosystem.
Transparent by design
Every item scanned, every Baso earned, every tree planted is logged and published. Impact you can verify, not just trust.
These numbers start with you.
Take the community survey to tell us where to deploy, what rewards matter, and which local businesses to partner with. Your input turns projections into plans.
